Two local squads meet up at senior girls tourney in Langley

The 2018 Girls Tsumura Invitational continues Saturday with the finals.

The Gators feasted in their Friday afternoon match at the 2018 Girls Tsumura Invitational in the Langley Events Centre.

Walnut Grove Secondary took on Langley Christian and the final result was 86 to 59 for WGSS when they met in the basketball quarter final. The win send WGSS into action at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The tournament runs Thursday, Dec. 13 to Saturday, Dec. 15.

In addition to Langley Christian and Walnut Grove, the Brookswood Bobcats were competing in the 16-team tournament.
