Langley Rivermen forward Jackson Krill marked his 200th BCHL game by scoring against Surrey Eagles on Friday, Feb. 21 to make it 5-5 late in the third period at South Surrey Arena and force the game into overtime.
But it was the Eagles who won it in OT.
Ilya Rogovsky, Davids Livsics, Liam Payne and Keenan Ingram also scored for Langley.
Going into the game, Krill had recorded four goals in his last six games, including three in the two games against Alberni Valley and Cowichan Capitals the previous weekend.
It was a milestone moment for the 20-year-old veteran forward, a 6’1” 185 lb. Port Moody native who began his BCHL journey with the Trail Smoke Eaters in the 2020-21 season before moving to the Merritt Centennials.
Following his time in Merritt, Krill joined the Coquitlam Express in 2023-24, continuing to produce as a key contributor. In his 5th BCHL season, he started with Coquitlam before joining the Langley Rivermen.
Krill had 3 goals and 6 assists in 16 games played with Coquitlam this year, and 85 points in over 170 BCHL games between Coquitlam, Trail, and the Merritt Centennials. He is also committed to the University of Vermont.
Sunday, Feb. 23, Rivermen fell 2-1 to the Eagles. Keenan Ingram scored for Langley.
Next up, Rivermen will host the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Friday, Feb. 28 at George Preston at 7:15 p.m.
