The Greater Vancouver Zoo is hosting its first-ever adults only evening event Sept. 21.

After regular hours, guests with pre-purchased tickets can enjoy tastings of nine local breweries, food trucks, keeper talks, and animal encounters, said Josh Banta, marketing supervisor.

“We’re looking to offer adults the chance to ask the questions they’ve been wanting to know without those little ears present,” he chuckled.

“[It’s] the perfect opportunity to explore the local craft scene, support our community breweries, and discover the wonderful world of animals.”

Craft breweries include Dead Frog Brewery, Smugglers Trail, Camp Beer Co., Five Roads Brewing Co., among others.

Tickets are $60 for general admission to the event, or $68 to include a snack pass, and can be purchased online at gvzoo.com.

The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m., and guests must be 19 years or older to attend.
