A late afternoon fire destroyed a semi-truck in Gloucester Estates industrial park, north of Aldergrove, on Sunday, March 17.

The truck caught fire in the 27500-block of Gloucester Way, according to Langley Township deputy fire chief Russ Jenkins.

The driver was apparently able to unhook the trailer from the truck, so it did not also catch fire, said Jenkins.

The truck itself, however, burned intensely until Township firefighters arrived.

The fire was close to some shrubs and trees, but it was prevented from spreading.

Firefighters knocked down the fire, but the vehicle appeared to be destroyed.

No one was hurt, said Jenkins.

“It was undetermined what caused it,” he said.
