A late-night crash south of Aldergrove between a semi and a sedan has left two people injured, including one person in critical condition.

On March 18, at approximately 12:20 a.m. Langley RCMP responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 264th Street and 16th Avenue.

“A black Mazda sedan was travelling east on 16th and collided with the rear of a semi trailer travelling south on 264th,” said Langley RCMP Cpl. Craig van Herk.

Ambulances took two people to hospital.

“The driver [was] in stable condition and the passenger [was] in critical condition. The driver of the semi remained on scene and appeared uninjured,” van Herk said.

The area was cordoned off for several hours to help those involved and then do an investigation which involves the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and Langley RCMP.

The RCMP is asking for public assistance.

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage in the area of 16th Avenue and 264th Street between midnight and 12:30 a.m. is asked to contact the local detachment at 604-532-3200 and quote file 2024-8319.
