Lawrie inks endorsement deal with Baden

Danielle Lawrie has inked an endorsement deal with Baden Sports Inc.Lawrie, a two-time NCAA player of the year during her time with the Washington Huskies, now plays professionally with the USSSA Florida of the National Pro Fastpitch League. The Pride won the 2010 league championship.Baden designs and produces athletic balls for various sports.Lawrie, who graduated from Brookswood Secondary in 2005, has spent several years with the Canadian national team program, including participating in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games.She is also nominated for a pair of Sport BC awards: one is the top athlete in the senior female category, and the other is for the athlete who best represented B.C. nationally or internationally.With Baden, she will be counted on to add her expertise in enhancing the current line of fastpitch softballs along with having significant input in the design and development of future products.“Having Danielle lead the way for our fastpitch category offers enormous credibility in our goal of becoming a premier fastpitch brand,” said Greg Barton, the director of promotions for Baden Sports. “Her passion for the game of softball will be an invaluable asset to Baden both on and off the field.”“My choice to sign with Baden reflects my desire to represent a brand whose goals match my own — which is a relentless commitment to excellence,” Lawrie said.
