The hairdressing students of Aldergrove Community Secondary School (ACSS) featured a wide range of styles at their annual show last Thursday.
The show gives the students to show off the skills they’ve learned in the career program at ACSS, as well as let their own hair down.
Volunteers, from younger students to teachers and principals to senior citizens all volunteered to have their hair cut, coloured and/or permed by the students, and then walked the catwalk for the full house in the school dramnasium.
The styles ran the gamut from the traditional to the outlandish, but all were eye-catching.
The show was a fundraiser for the charity of the students’ choice. The hairdressing students also volunteer every week to help pack the weekend lunches for the 60 elementary students sponsored by the Aldergrove Rotary Club’s Starfish food pack program.
Their instructor is longtime Aldergrove hairdresser Peggy Wickenden.
