Cops For Cancer near end of tour

A total of 26 riders are wrapping up their tour to raise money to fight cancer.

Sophie Rosenberger, 4, touched her dad Chris’ hair before she helped shave it off in a Cops for Cancer fundraiser at Cedarbrook Bakery on Friday. Cops for Cancer stopped by the Brookswood bakery where heads were shaved. Rosenberger will be next year’s Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley Team captain.

The Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley Team will be starting their morning off in Langley on Thursday, Oct. 4, entering their second to last day on tour.

They will be making several stops visiting local schools and community points.

Watch as the 26 member team and their full police escorts bike through the streets. The will visit Langley Fine Arts first, followed by James Kennedy, Dorothy Peacock and then Coast Capital in Walnut Grove.

There are 26 riders including local officers Const. Steve Dickinson, a BC Corrections officer and Team Captain and Langley RCMP Constables Pamela Morrison, Brett Henderson and Karen Cryer (team trainer).
