Dozens of people took part in the first Langley Community Farmers Market of the season Wednesday afternoon in the courtyard of Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Langley campus.

Tons of fresh veggies, just plucked from the ground, gluten-free baking and chocolate were for sale and local beer was on tap.

The first 200 visitors were treated to a mini cupcake and music by the Langley Ukulele Ensemble.

The market will run each Wednesday from noon to 4 p.m. in the courtyard at KPU, 20901 Langley Bypass.
