Free help: Trinity teams at work

There are many chores around the house that seniors can no longer do, or have difficulty doing.

It’s not uncommon for them to bring in younger, able-bodied workers to help with house work, painting, yard work, windows, even construction.

Well, Trinity Western University is celebrating its 19th annual fall workday, where a team of students will be heading out into the Fraser Valley to help out with some of these chores for three hours on Saturday, Oct. 15 (from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

This is a free service, and as event promoters say, there are “no strings attached. Our heart is to serve as much of the Lower Mainland as possible.”

To register, email workday@twu.ca or call 604-513-2121 ext. 3311 with details and number of students needed before Oct. 11.
