The Langley RCMP are already revving up for the 12th annual Junior Cadet Camp, to be held this summer.

From July 4 to 6, a free three-day camp will be open to kids aged 10-12 living in Langley.

Boys and girls interested in learning more about policing, who have not attended the camp in the past, are invited to join the event.

Cadets will learn about the Air One police helicopter, the Forensic Identification and Police Dog Services divisions, meet with representatives from the fire department, Emergency Health Services, and first aid.

This year’s event will take place at the Langley Events Centre Field House at 7888 200 Street.

Pre-registration is required to attend. Applications will be accepted beginning May 1 at the Langley RCMP main detachment in Murrayville, and at all five Community Police Offices throughout the community. Applications must be in before June 3.

Applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
