It was cold and rainy Friday, but the riders in the Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley mounted up and headed out on the roads of Langley regardless.
The 20 law enforcement officers of the Tour de Valley ride passed through Langley on Friday, with stops at schools, businesses and credit unions to collect donations and thank donors.
Langley-based riders Ryan Wick, Courtney Callens, and Rachel Kleingeltink thanked local officials who were “locked up” for a Jail & Bail fundraiser earlier this year.
The Tour de Valley ride runs for nine days, up to 900 km, and takes the riders from Delta to Boston Bar. It is aimed at supporting children with cancer in particular, and some of its funds will send kids in cancer treatment to Camp Goodtimes.
