H.D. Stafford Middle school is holding a Mini We Day on Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
The day will include activities and a penny drive to support Free the Children — which is the We movement’s charity.
The Mini We Day is held to inspire students to be the “change they wish to see” and to end apathy.
The idea was inspired by the hugely popular We Day held every year for thousands of B.C. students at Rogers Arena. This year Magic Johnson spoke to students and was joined by several famous musicians. We Day was created by brothers Craig and Marc Kielburger who, as youths, started a global movement to inspire kids into action.
