The merchants of Brookswood continue a community tradition with Summerfest on Saturday.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the public can enjoy family-oriented activities.

Scruffles the Clown will be on site making balloon animals from noon to 3 p.m. There’s also face painting, bouncy castles, a rock wall for climing, games, a pet rest station with water and snacks, and more.

The merchants have sidewalk sales and more. The hot dog barbecue at Brennan’s will benefit Critter Care and the non-profit wildlife rehabilitation organization will be on site. Buy Low Foods once again offers its wheel spin for prizes.

There’s community groups and more set up in Brookswood Park (200th Street and 40th Avenue) where people can try out ICBC’s ‘impaired’ driving goggles, an RCMP display, activities and games.
