Trouble in River City will take on a whole new meaning when Royal City Musical Theatre hosts a Family Day roundup on April 14 at the Massey Theatre in New Westminster, just blocks from the mighty Fraser.
The event begins at 1 p.m. with a box social auction, trick roping and square dancing demonstrations, colouring and face painting stations. It all caps off with a 2 p.m. matinee performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s 1943 Broadway smash Oklahoma!
Among the 44 performers hitting the stage as part of the cast who will sing and dance their way across the Massey Theatre stage are Langley performers Jackie Block and Steve Munshaw.
Filled with songs everyone knows and loves, the show features dazzling dance numbers performed with a full orchestra.
Oklahoma! will be performed at the Massey Theatre, 735 8 Ave. New Westminster.
