Art aficionados in Langley have an opportunity to meet an industry leader in pop surrealism this Sunday (May 29).
Camilla d'Errico, who is also a best selling comic book author, is hosting an exclusive artist workshop at Opus, 95-5501 204 St., from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
With the legendary Stan Lee, Emma Roberts, Felicia Day, Neil Gaiman and even pop stars Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears among her biggest fans, d'Errico’s luscious and thought-provoking artwork has caused a stir over the past decade. Her signature approach to pop surrealism creates an inviting world of beauty, enchantment and playfulness.
In the workshop, d’Errico will focus on techniques used to create pop surrealist styles using Holbein Duo Oils. After a brief history lesson on the pop surrealism art movement, d'Errico will demonstrate her techniques for prep work, blending and medium mixing and application of paint.
