Families can enjoy some fun entertainment this March Break with Cineplex Events’ Family Favourites screenings.

From March 19-23, theatres across B.C., including in Langley, will host matinee screenings of Oscar-nominated flicks Wonder, The Boss Baby, Ferdinand and Despicable Me 3.

Tickets are $2.99 per screening. For showtimes, please visit cineplex.com.

Wonder

Based on the New York Times bestselling novel, Wonder tells the story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes an unlikely hero when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to discover their compassion and acceptance, Auggie’s extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

The Boss Baby

When a suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby shows up seemingly out of the blue, Tim, an only child with an idyllic life, is suspicious of the family’s newest addition. Eventually the two are forced to pair up in order to foil the dastardly plot of a common enemy — the CEO of Puppy Co.

Ferdinand

Set in Spain, Ferdinand tells the story of a giant bull with a big heart. After running away and being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team for the ultimate adventure.

Despicable Me 3

After losing his job with the Anti-Villain League (AVL) and falling on tough times, former villain Gru struggles to stay on the right side of the law. However, the temptation to do bad may prove too much when his long-lost twin brother Dru reaches out wanting to team up for one last criminal heist.
