The latest technological event at the local public library is a green screen Christmas photo shoot.

From 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, people can stop by the Muriel Arnason Library at 20338 65th Ave., to see how green screens work.

Green screens have been used for a long time in film and TV work. People can be photographed in front of the green background and using technology, a different scene can be put behind them. At the library event Dec. 12, people can choose the holiday scene and staff will email them a photo.

This free event is open to all ages, and there will be hot chocolate, cookies and holiday music.
