Letter: Aboriginal opposition to pipelines worth a listen

A Langley letter writer urges government to listen to the many voices opposed to Kinder Morgan.

Dear Editor,

When Indigenous communities say “no”, oil companies and governments have a duty to listen. It’s a message driven home to politicians by the dozen-plus court challenges faced by Kinder Morgan’s expansion pipeline, the 130-plus First Nations and tribes in Canada and the USA opposed to tar sands expansion.

Justin Trudeau, enough is enough.

For all Indigenous communities on the front lines opposing destructive energy projects, we will continue to fight for justice.
