Returning to the Langley Community Music School’s Rose Gellert Hall series is the internationally renowned Bergmann piano duo on Saturday, March 2.

The duo, married pianists Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann, will perform ‘The Planet, Op. 32’ by Gustav Holst known as an iconic celestial masterpiece.

“Holst’s evocative music will be accompanied by projected visuals, resulting in an exceptionally engaging experience,” Elizabeth commented.

The husband and wife team will perform the seven-movement suite depicting Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune and the corresponding astrological characters.

“Each of the seven movements reflect the unique astrological ‘personalities’ of the planets,” Elizabeth said.

Elizabeth and Marcel are known worldwide for their classical and popular music performances. The local couple is on the school’s leadership team and also teaches piano to the students of LCMS. While Marcel is the composer-in-residence, Elizabeth is the school’s artistic director of concerts.

Their upcoming performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be bought online at langleycommunitymusicschool.com or through the box office by calling 604-534-2848.

Tickets are $33 per adult, $30 per senior, $18 per student, and $10 for LCMS students.

The Rose Gellert Hall is located at 4899 207th St.
