The pilot was reportedly unhurt after a small plane flipped over while landing on a private runway in rural Langley Monday afternoon.

At about 3:30 p.m., the red plane was making a landing in a field in the 24300 block of 32nd Avenue.

According to a neighbour, the plane landed, but near the end of the runway flipped over onto its roof.

The neighbour ran over to check on the pilot.

“He’s fine, he’s not hurt,” said the neighbour, who asked not to be identified by name.

Another neighbour called 911 after hearing the crash.

Langley RCMP were on scene with the pilot checking out the crashed plane. Langley Township Fire Department crews were called to the scene, but were not required as there was no fire or injuries.
