Do you have a Christmas dinner tradition when it comes to gathering your group together?

Whether it’s your youth soccer team and parent group, the church committee or the gang from work, planning and deciding where you’d like to celebrate the holiday season with a special meal and refreshments needs to happen well in advance.

You’ve got lots of options in Langley, which is one of the reasons why the staff at Ocean Park Pizza and Steakhouse in Langley’s Brookswood Village are well underway with preparations to help you make the most of the holiday season.

Longtime owners Maria and Leo have offered authentic Greek cuisine and hospitality at this location for more than 30 years. And they are already thinking about menu items and special meal options for your festive gathering, says daughter Barb, who manages the restaurant.

“They love what they do,” she notes, “they were born and raised into the business.”

Here’s why you should consider booking Ocean Park for your gathering:

  • With a separate room available for parties, you can bring up to 40 people into the restaurant to enjoy a special meal, with such seasonal items as Cornish game hens and Yorkshire pudding
  • If you love the food, from pizza to a la carte items, Ocean Park caters parties for up to 200 people and can arrange to deliver to your site or have it available for early pickup
  • December fills up fast for the private room, “so if you want a weekend date, you have to book early,” Barb says.

Supporting the community that supports them

If you go to pretty much any athletic venue in Langley, you’re bound to see the colourful Ocean Park sign on display. The Broumas’ make it a point to support the community’s sports teams, from the junior football Rams to the B.C. Hockey League Rivermen and high school teams as well.

Not only that, their menu features many items made using locally sourced ingredients.

“They do like to support what’s in their community,” Barb says of her parents. “We’ll go to the local farms and the local butcher shop and buy as much as we can locally. It makes a difference in the quality of our food.”
