Community has been at the heart of Nufloors since the store first opened in 1973, and 50 years later the Nufloors team is still finding ways to support the people of Langley.
“We participate in a variety of different fundraisers, sponsor local groups and have participated in community initiatives like Acts of Kindness in the past,” says Owner, Nick Kaplanis. “This past October, we hosted the Langley Animal Protection Society for a special adopt-a-pet event and presented them with a $500 donation to help them in their efforts to help Langley animals in need.”
Heading into the holiday season Nufloors is launching a new fundraising initiative with BC Children’s Hospital. Starting on Monday, Nov. 20, Nufloors is selling Canadian Safety Supplies First Aid kits with a portion of the proceeds going to the hospital.
“For our new partnership with Canadian Safety Supplies and BC Children’s Hospital we’ll be taking orders in-store for first aid kits, and we’ll also have a sample kit available so our customers can see what comes in the kits themselves,” Kaplanis says.
Nufloors is a long-time supporter of BC Children’s Hospital fundraisers, donating more than $49,700 to the Hospital Foundation over the years.
“The BC Children’s Hospital is the only hospital in the province devoted entirely to the care of B.C.’s sickest and most seriously injured children,” Kaplanis says. “Their specialized care is invaluable to our province and our communities, and we’re excited to continue our efforts to support them.”
