CBM Lawyers has expanded into Langley’s Walnut Grove neighbourhood.

While the team at CBM Lawyers has been serving the Langley community for more than 40 years, when they saw a way to serve their clients even better, they embraced it.

CBM – Campbell Burton & McMullan LLP – is in fact one of the largest law firms in the region, providing legal services throughout the Fraser Valley. Yet CBM retains the local community focus it was founded upon here in Langley.

So, when the opportunity arose for CBM to team up with lawyer James MacLean, who has over 35 years of experience as a solicitor, the decision was simple. MacLean joins the team from Milne Selkirk and expands CBM’s legal services into the Walnut Grove neighbourhood. “Seeing the positive impact we’re having for our clients has been very rewarding, and we are excited to bring that same level of expertise and service to the Walnut Grove community,” says Steve Burton, Partner at CBM Lawyers.

The addition of James MacLean allows CBM to offer a full range of legal services in Walnut Grove for current clients, as well as welcome new clients from the community.

Drawing upon the team’s diverse and experienced skill set, CBM’s practice in Walnut Grove will focus on areas of family law, ICBC, personal injury, wills and estates, as well as conveyancing and corporate law.

A community-focused firm

While CBM Lawyers has earned a well-deserved reputation as Langley’s legal professionals, they’re also deeply involved at the community level.

“Good business is about more than being successful in court or at the negotiation table,” says Rick McMullan “It’s also about the being good corporate citizens.”

Beyond sharing their varied legal expertise through their online blog, for example, CBM’s support for fellow businesses is evident in their sponsorship of the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

And as a team and individually, CBM staff regularly participate in various community initiatives, whether it’s a chili cook-off or sponsoring a local event like the upcoming 2018 Langley Rib Fest, Aug. 17 to 19 at McLeod Athletic Park.

Among the many organizations the firm has worked with over the years are the Big Brothers and Sisters of Langley, C.A.R.E.S. Cat Shelter, Langley Animal Protection Society, the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation, Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce, Fort Langley National Historic Site, Special Olympics, UBC Allard School of Law Student Legal Advice Program and more.
