Assault put Langley man in hospital

The attack took place in Pitt Meadows early Sunday morning.

Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating an assault that has left a 20 year old Langley man in serious condition in hospital.

At approximately 2:25 a.m. Sunday Jan. 17, police were called to the 12400 block of Harris Road, where a group of men had gotten into an altercation that quickly turned violent.

The victim was knocked to the ground, and the assailants walked away from the scene.  The victim was then taken to hospital by members of the BC Ambulance Service.

“Police are in the initial stages of this ongoing investigation,” said Ridge Meadows RCMP Cpl. Brenda Winpenny

“The victim remains in hospital under doctor’s care.  Investigators have spoken to some witnesses, but are still looking for others who have information regarding this incident.”
