Candy and cars on menu at Langley church

The Langley Evangelical Free Church is hosting a free community gathering Friday evening at the H.D. Stafford Middle School parking lot.

Dubbed Trunk-or-Treat, the event features family-friendly fun 6-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.

“Trunk-or-Treat was a great success last year when we decorated vehicles in the H.D. Stafford Middle School parking lot and shared candy and hot chocolate with trick-or-treaters of all ages,” said Elisha Neufeld, the church’s Children and Families Ministry director. “This event provided a safe and fun environment to dress up, eat candy and participate in the community, and it is happening again this year – with around 20 candy-filled trunk.”

It’s an opportunity for kids to dress up, enjoy some goodies by trick or treating to the decorated vehicles and take part in other activities, including cookie decorating.

There will be music and a photo booth, not to mention a parent rest area.
