A vehicle was set ablaze early Tuesday morning in a Langley City neighbourhood.

Around 6 a.m., Langley City Fire Rescue and RCMP were called out to a Honda Civic on fire in the 20200 block of 54 Avenue.

According to Langley RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Holly Largy, the fire is considered suspicious. A witness saw a blue Dodge Ram pickup leave the scene but there is little description beyond that, said Largy.

While the arson is being investigated, it doesn’t look to be tied to any recent gang violence where a vehicle is set ablaze following a shooting or other incident, said Largy.

If you have any information about this fire, call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
