City of Langley hosts Operation: Clean Sweep

The City of Langley is asking members of the public to help with Operation: Clean Sweep, April 23 to 30.

The City of Langley is hoping to make it a clean sweep, as the invite the  to ‘pitch in’ and help clean up the community during the 46th Annual Pitch-In Langley Week, taking place April 23 to 30.

Pitch In Canada is the largest environmental improvement campaign in Canada, and this year’s theme is Operation: Clean Sweep.

The City of Langley is encouraging organizations, groups and individuals to be a part of the operation. To get involved, stop by Langley City Hall, 20399 Douglas Crescent, during the designated hours noted below:

• Tuesday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to noon;

• Wednesday, April 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Thursday, April 26 from noon to 2 p.m.

Staff will be available in the City Hall foyer to help with registration and selection of the public space participants would like to clean, and to provide the information and supplies needed to ‘pitch in’. For additional information on this and other City of Langley community events, please call Douglas Recreation Centre at 604-514-2865.
