Parents who are looking for care for their elementary school aged children during the upcoming teachers' strike can check out the City of Langley's and Township's day camps for children aged five to 12. The City's camps are at Douglas Recreation Centre, 20550 Douglas Cres. The Township's are being offered at various facilities.
Run by the two recreation departments from Monday, March 5 to Wednesday, March 7, the camps will keep children busy with numerous activities including arts, crafts, sports, cooking and field trips. Camps will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and cost $100 per child for all three days, or $36 for individual days.
Extended play camps in the City are also available for parents who would like to drop their child off as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick them up as late as 6 p.m. at an additional cost of $28 per child for all three days or $10 per day. Sibling discounts are available — please inquire when registering.

School may be out March 5, 6, and 7 but day camps are in at Township of Langley recreation centres.
School’s Out Day Camp offers a variety of activities, crafts, and games for 5 - 12 year olds. Register for one day or all three. Day Camp Plus is available at some locations for families who need a little more flexibility in their schedules.

The Langley Centennial Museum is offering arts and culture camps from March 5 to 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day for ages six to 12. The cost is $36.23 per child. Register through RecExpress.ca or call 604-532-3536.
