At least one person was taken to hospital, treated for exposure to pepper spray, after a home invasion in Langley City on Monday morning (Dec. 29).

Around 9 a.m., Langley RCMP and the police dog service were called to a home in the area of 52 Avenue and 201A Street, after two male suspects broke into the home and used pepper spray against the victim or victims.

Police say the people in the residence are known to police and the crime is believed to be drug-related.

The suspects fled and numerous officers and a police dog services searched the area, including Linwood Park. But no suspects were found during that search.

Police initially asked people in the area to stay inside to help facilitate the tracking process.

If you have information for the police and haven’t yet spoken to them, you can call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
