Langley City purse snatching

Two boys pretended to be interested in a woman's dog and then stole her purse at Douglas Crescent March 30.

Langley RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance with a recent purse snatching in downtown Langley.

In the afternoon of March 30, a woman was walking her dog (a Yorkie) in the 20400 block of Douglas Crescent.  Two young men came up behind her on skateboards and started talking to her about her dog.  The two seemed to be about 18 or 19 years old.  They originally seemed friendly however one of the two boys grabbed her purse, said police.

Once the boys had her purse, they took off in the direction they had come from.

Both boys are described as Caucasian with short, dark brown hair and were wearing blue jeans.

Police are asking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or knows something about this.  Should a witness need to remain anonymous, call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
