Langley City's election numbers are finalized and show that 24 per cent of eligible voters cast ballots in the general election.
In total, the 2014 City of Langley municipal election drew 4,187 ballots or 24 per cent of the 17,362 registered eligible electors. This marks a three per cent increase in voter turn-out from the last election, which drew 3,583 ballots or 21 per cent of the 17, 163 registered eligible electors. This year, advance voting (829 ballots) accounted for approximately 20 per cent of the total ballots cast.

"We congratulate mayor-elect Ted Schaffer, as well as our new and returning council members and school trustees. We look forward to working together to address the needs and challenges of the City over the next four years."
The next municipal elections will be in 2018 now that councillors and school trustees serve four year terms.
