Gerald Peterson will put some of his money into his grandchildren’s education plan.

A Langley man beat his previous best-ever lottery win by quite a bit after collecting a Set For Life prize this week.

“I never won more than $15 before,” said Gerald Peterson. “So this feels pretty good. I like the sound of being set for life!”

Peterson showed the picture of his ticket to his sister, brothers, and people on his ball team.

““Everybody is really happy for me,” Peterson said.

He plans to use some of the money for a Hawaiian vacation and invest the rest for the future.

“I’m going to help my children out a bit and also put money away for my grandchildren’s education plan.”

The winning ticket was purchased at the Pharmasave on Marshall Road in Abbotsford.

Set for life allows winners to take a top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years.
