Shawn Lachance allegedly threatened people with a gun in Surrey.

The Surrey RCMP are looking for a Langley man who allegedly threatened a man with a gun in a pub.

The incident took place on Nov. 24, in the 10700 block of King George Boulevard, said Cpl. Scotty Schumann of the Surrey RCMP.

A man got into an argument with another man, and eventually threatened him with a pistol, said Schumann.

Staff tried to intervene to defuse the situation, and the man punched one of the staff, threatened them with the handgun, and ran away.

Police believe the suspect is Shawn Lachance, a 25-year-old from Langley. He is now wanted for assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Lachance should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, Schumann warned.

The wanted man is Caucasian, 5’6”, 150 lbs with hazel eyes and brown hair. He may have a beard and is also known to wear his hair in a ponytail.

Lachance has many tattoos, including the words “tum tum” on one side of his neck, and script style writing on the other side.

Anyone with more information should call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or, to remain anonymous, call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or visit www.solvecrime.ca.

Anyone who sees Lachance should call 911 immediately, and not approach him said Schumann.
