Langley man robbed at knifepoint for his phone

Police are looking for a heavy set man wearing fancy jeans who fled with a Samsung Galaxy S3 on March 20.

A Langley man was robbed at knifepoint for his smartphone on Thursday, March 20.

Just before 2 a.m., the victim and his friend were walking north in the 5500 block of 203  Street when they were approached by a man who asked to see his phone.  The suspect attempted to grab the cellphone, and then pulled a knife when the victim resisted. The culprit took the phone and fled south on 203 Street.

The suspect is described as heavy set, dark hair, between 5’8” and 6’0” tall, wearing fancy jeans and a brown plaid jacket.  It’s is possible he had a goatee.

The phone was a Samsung Galaxy S3 in a grey Otter Box. If you have information about this suspect call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
