Surrey RCMP are looking for a man who was driving around naked, trying to talk to adult women in Clayton Heights on June 9.

Langley RCMP’s drug section say they have interrupted a ‘concerning’ situation where a 29-year-old is accused of dealing drugs to young people in the Willoughby area.

Police say a significant amount of drugs and two loaded weapons were seized from the man’s Willoughby home when they executed a search warrant this past weekend.

Acting on several tips about drug trafficking taking place in the 19800 block of 72 Avenue, Langley Drug Section began an investigation into the activity in the area.

“They discovered the suspected trafficker was selling marijuana to various people in the area, many of whom were not yet adults,” said Langley RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy.

A search warrant for the residence was executed on June 10.  Approximately 20 pounds of dried marijuana, three pounds of hash, and substances believed to be marijuana shatter and pot gummies were seized.

In addition, a shotgun and an assault rifle, both loaded and not safely stored, were found in the residence as well as ammunition, said police.

A Langley resident was arrested and has been released.  He next appears in Surrey Provincial Court on Oct. 7.

Police will be recommending charges to the Crown.

“It is obviously a great concern to both police and residents when we become aware of an individual selling drugs to young people,” said Staff Sgt. Richard Bergevin, Langley RCMP plainclothes  commander.

“Compounding this concern is the presence of loaded firearms, unsecured in a residential property.

“The outstanding work of Langley Drug Section has resulted in the confiscation of a significant amount of drugs and two firearms that could pose a significant  risk to our community.”
