Mounties are looking for the public’s help identifying people involved in a “suspicious occurrence” in Clayton on Feb. 23, where a woman may have been abducted.
At about 4 a.m. that day, near the intersection of 193A Street and 65th Avenue (near the Surrey-Langley border), a woman was helped into a dark-coloured SUV by a man.
The vehicle, possibly a grey or blue newer model Jeep Grand Cherokee, drove out of the area.
It isn’t clear whether the woman got into the SUV voluntarily or not, based on witness reports, said Cpl. Scotty Schumann of the Surrey RCMP.
There were no reports from a victim in the incident.
“If you were involved in this event, we would like to hear from you to ensure your well-being,” said Schumann. “If you were a witness or have any information regarding the people or vehicle involved, please call police as soon as possible.”
Surrey RCMP’s General Investigation Unit is investigating.
