Spend this Sunday horsing around

Free carriage rides to and from the parking lot to the Lower Mainland Quarter Horse Association annual Horseman’s Bazaar is one of the highlights of Sunday’s event at Thunderbird Show Park.

The bazaar is a round-up of all things horse and had added attractions to appeal to all members of the family.

There is the trade fair, horse demonstrations, dog show, home baking, the used tack sale, and more.

“Our headliner is pro barrel racer Barb West from TV’s Rodeo Girls,” said event co-chair Mellissa Buckley.

For a donation, get a pancake breakfast from Valley Therapeutic Equestrian Association. They are also handling parking by donation.

“New this year is our Artisan Alley/Country Market which highlights our local artistic talents and homemade items,” added co-chair Terri Brown.

Admission is $5 for anyone six and older. The event runs 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. More details are at www.horsemansbazaar.com.
