Langley RCMP is looking for public help to identify a couple of alleged shoplifters caught on camera in recent weeks.

In the first incident, a man allegedly shoplifted from the PriceSmart Foods in the 20100 block of Fraser Highway on Nov. 28 at about 5 p.m.

A loss prevention officer tried to detain the man after he left the store, but after a brief struggle, the man escaped on foot, said Cpl. Holly Marks, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.

On Jan. 7, a man entered the Langley Best Buy carrying some plastic bags, said Marks.

He was allegedly seen putting a $250 Bose sound dock into the bag and then heading out the doors.

When employees approached and asked to see the receipt for the dock, Marks said the man couldn’t produce it. He became loud and started yelling, then pushed past the employees and ran away.

The man in this incident is described as Caucasian, heavy set, with dark hair, and was wearing glasses and a baseball cap.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes either suspected shoplifter from the security photos to contact them with information.
