Investigators are on scene where a man was found injured at later died

Homicide investigators say a man who died Sunday morning in North Langley was a member of the Hells Angels.

The victim has been identified as Robert Keith Green, a 56-year-old Burnaby man, said Cpl. Meghan Foster, the spokesperson for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).

Green was found clinging to life Sunday just before 10:30 a.m. in the 23700 block of 72nd Avenue. Langley RCMP discovered him after being called to a "suspicious occurrence." He died of his injuries while B.C. Ambulance paramedics were on scene, said Foster.

Foster said IHIT is now hoping to speak to witnesses, including some who apparently fled the scene of the murder.

Some witnesses may have been present for the murder, and others may have obtained information later, Foster said. In either case, IHIT wants to speak to them and help ensure their safety, she said.

There is no known direct link between the Sunday morning murder and the later shooting that wounded a man near the Greater Vancouver Zoo in Aldergrove.

Green was known to have a criminal record. Foster could not say whether he belonged to the Langley-based White Rock chapter of the Hells Angels, or a different chapter.

Foster could not speak to rumours that a suspect in the case was arrested Monday in Surrey.

"We are speaking to people of interest," she said. That could include witnesses and suspects.

On Monday, police were still on scene at the murder site, doing an extensive canvas of neighbouring homes and looking into whether there is any useful security camera footage from the area.

The police are asking the public to come forward with any information on this crime. Call IHIT at 1-877-551-4448 or to remain anonymous, CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
