At a campaign stop, Stephen Harper was asked to explain his party's tough-on-crime stance, especially since he's been supported by former Toronto mayor Rob Ford, who had a very public, often embarrassing history with drugs and alcohol. While mayor of Canada's largest city, Ford admitted to using crack cocaine and falling into 'drunken stupors'.


Conservative Leader Stephen Harper was asked at a campaign event Wednesday how he could reconcile his party's tough-on-crime stance with Tuesday's front-row appearance by former Toronto mayor Rob Ford, an admitted crack user.
