A man randomly punched a woman in the back of the head on a Langley street early last month.

On May 3, a woman was walking west on Industrial Avenue at 2 a.m. when a brown two-door car pulled up alongside her.

Two men were inside. The passenger asked the woman if she would like a ride home, said Cpl. Holly Marks, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.

When she refused and kept walking, the passenger got out of the back of the car and hit the woman in the back of her head.

The woman was knocked down, but got up and ran to a nearby gas station where she called her husband for help.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, about 5’10”, 180 pounds with a skinny build, wearing a light coloured plaid shirt, with wavy hair reaching almost down to his collar bone.

A sketch artist has worked with the victim to create an image of the suspect, and anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200, or to remain anonymous, call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
