In loving memory ~

With saddened hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother at Morgan House, Surrey, B.C. Mom was born in Poland, and in 1930, at the age of 5 she immigrated to Canada with her parents, John and Barbara, and sister Jean. They made their home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where her brother Bill was born. In time, she went on to meet her future husband, Alex, and together they raised four children. As a stay-at-home mom, she dedicated herself to creating a loving home for all of us. As parents, they were very involved with their children, attending as many games & recitals as they could. Mom eventually ventured out to work, becoming involved in retail with women's fashions at Ricki's and The Bay for many years. As Alex was a dedicated member of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, she too involved herself locally in Winnipeg and B.C. They travelled to many ceremonies overseas, with D-Day in Holland being one. Over time, the winters in Winnipeg drove them to the West Coast, where they settled in Langley and began a life of retirement. She led a full life, making many friends along the way, and enjoyed very much a women's choir, socializing, and crocheting. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander, her parents, sister Jean, brother Bill (Bev), and son-in-law Gene. Left to mourn are her children: Kirk (Sonia), Gary (Joan), Trudy (Chris), and Lori with grandchildren Carly, Kimberly, Kelly, Robert, Devon, and Mike; great-grandchildren Avery, Atlyn Alexey, and Emmitt; and extended family. Mom led a full life, making many friends along the way, and felt blessed with her four children, who were by her bedside.

May she rest in peace.
