Our beloved mother, Angela (Jill) Mary Barron passed away on December 29, 2016 in Langley at the young age of 83. Predeceased by her cherished mother and forever loved grandson (Kyle), she leaves behind her loving children Laurie, Deb (Shaun), David (Melanie) and grandchildren Kierra, Angie, Josh and Tuesday. Mom graduated from St. Paul’s School of Nursing in 1955 and worked full-time as a registered nurse finishing her career as a midwife. She was a single mother and worked tirelessly for the welfare of her children. She enthusiastically attended her grandchildren’s numerous baseball, ballet, basketball and musical theatre activities. Always encouraging, forever loving. She had many friends and adored them all. Mom’s energy and commitment to her many charities (Critter Care, reading at Douglas Park Community School, Penny Pinchers and Christian Children’s Fund) was endless. She loved to read, listen to music, knit and socialize. Mom made the best stew and jam ever! She was bright, generous, unselfish, ever loving and so very funny. There will be a celebration of life on May 13, 2017 at Williams Park in Langley between 12:00-16:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Critter Care. “A mother’s arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundlessly in them”, Victor Hugo. Sleep soundly Mom, rest peacefully, for you are surely in Heaven. PS: Mom, hope you get your elephant.
