FOSLEY, Ann (McGillivary)
June 26, 1916 - April 20, 2009
Born in Saskatoon, Sask. into a family of 7 brothers and sisters. She moved to B.C. in 1936, living in Youbou on Vancouver Island, Surrey and New Westminster. Ann has spent her last 15 years living in Langley.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, grandsons Grant, and Tim. Ann will be lovingly missed by her children Pat (Al) Walker of Langley, Max (Alice) Baer of North Delta, Shirley Baer of Salmon Arm, Cecilia Siluk of Kelowna, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, her sister Agnes Wilson of Kelowna and many nieces and nephews.
She loved the outdoors, whether fishing in Whistler or potting plants in Haney. Ann spent her working years as a supervisor at the Royal Towers Hotel in New Westminster.
In recent years she enjoyed her association with the Langley Adult Day Centre, a division of the Langley Seniors Centre, where she discovered her talent for painting. A memorial service for Ann will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, in Fort Langley on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. No flowers by request, donations can be made to The Langley Seniors Centre.
