KROEKER, Arthur Henry

March 2, 1929 - March 22, 2014

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Henry Kroeker. He is survived by his dear wife of 63 years, Vera, four children, Carol (Gord), Robert, Kathy (Ted), Marlene (Len), plus 13 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and one great grandson to be born in May. Arthur’s parents immigrated from Russia to Canada in 1925 and settled in Glenbush, Saskatchewan. It was there that Arthur was born. In 1936, the family moved to Abbotsford, BC. Arthur was baptized in the Sumas Creek, and graduated from M.E.I. in 1945. He met Vera at 43rd Ave. Church, and they married Sept. 17, 1950. In 1963, Arthur was offered a management position for an oil filter company, Sky Corporation. It was during this time that Arthur attended Vancouver City College, and received his Business Administration Certificate. In 1969, he took the Real Estate exam and started his employment with Block Bros. He also taught at BCIT, and served as a director, Vice President, and President of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board. He loved people and had a zest and passion for life. A memorial service will be held on April 14th at 2pm at South Langley Church, 20098 22nd Avenue, Langley, BC V2Z 1X4. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Greater Europe Mission at CanadaHelps.org where his grandchildren are missionaries in France.
