REISCHMAN, Beatrice Isobel. With deep sorrow and sincere regret, I am announcing the passing of my mother, Beatrice Isobel Reischman. She was born on February 21, 1929, in Drake Saskatchewan and died on September 11, 2009 at her Langley apartment. As she once joked; "I was born at the being of one depression and now I'm dying at the end of another depression. Despite her hardships, despite her crippling illness, she was positive and outgoing right till the end. She loved her books, her flowers and she told me she preferred pets over people. A wake will be held on Sunday, September 27 at 13134-101 Ave in Surrey, BC, commencing at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vancouver Children's Hospital. She is predeceased by myself, Steven Rieschman and my sister Lois Miller, who lives with her family in Big Valley, Alberta. I will always remember mom surrounded by her flowers which seemed to grow brighter in her radiance.
