Christina Maud Weston Tayler (nee Diack)
October 28, 1948 - January 22, 2006
TAYLER, Christina - Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Christina Tayler went peacefully to be with the Lord on January 22, 2006 at the age of 57, at home with her devoted family by her side, after a resolute and valiant battle against cancer.
Christina will be greatly missed and remembered with love by her husband Gary, her children Adam, Michelle and Lara, her daughter-in-law Jennifer, son-in-law Steve, and her precious grandchildren Aidan, Morgan, Sydney and Katharine. She is also survived by her sisters Dorothy, Winifred and Frances, her brothers John, Charlie, Joseph and Johnny as well as many nieces and nephews.
Christina was born on October 28, 1948 in Aberdeen Scotland. She arrived in Canada in 1971 with a one-year ticket, married her husband Gary, and remained in Canada for 34 years. She never lost her love of the bagpipes and taught all of her children the words to Flower of Scotland.
Christina took to heart the saying that hard work is its own reward. She always put her family first. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, shopping for her grandchildren and drinking coffee. A better wife and mother has never been. We were each of us blessed by her, and she will guide our hearts until the day we meet again. Prayers and a memorial service honouring Christina's life will take place at the First Memorial Funeral Services in Aldergrove on Saturday January 28, 2006 at 2:00pm. A reception will follow. Flowers accepted or a donation may be made to the BC Cancer Agency.
