MacWhirter: Delores. Our beloved Delores Laura MacWhirter, passed away in her sleep with her family by her side on May 23, 2005 after a short battle with cancer.
She was born November 17, 1939 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, living most of her life in Langley, BC. Delores was a school bus driver for more than 30 years and was most content spending time with her family, her home and shopping. Delores always whistled when she was content and she did so near to the end.
Predeceased by her mother and father, Joseph and Edna (Adams) Vanbocquestal, her sister Lorna Cavey, brother Manny Vanbocquestal and first husband Gordon Elias.
She leaves all her love to: Her husband Bill MacWhirter and her five children: Diane Randall, Cindy (Jerry) Franks, Gordie (Nancy) Elias, Carol (Serge) Sideleau and Charlene (Brian) Waltho. Step Children: Ken and Bob MacWhirter and Jill (Rob) Friedt.
Grandchildren: Jamie (Mathaly) and Tamara Randall, Travils Elias, Danielle Franks, Peter and Jade Elias, Randa Musfelt, Rona (Darryle) Schroeder, Tanya and Justin (Kandace) Horton, Marissa and Austin MacWhirter and Jenelle and Tamara Friedt.
Great grandchildren: Coltan and Jaicob Randall, Kirklynd Nusfelt-Northcott, Kyle Musfelt, Clayton and Callum Schroeder, Brendon Elias and Jordyn Horton.
Her sister, Eunice (George) Hunt, brothers: Richard (Vicki), Denis (Eva) and Chant (Sherry) Vanbocquestal. Her dearest Aunt Rita (Adams) Rushaway, Uncles Leonard and Clarence Adams, cousin Les and many nieces and nephews. Countless friends from near and far.
A family celebration of Delores's life will be held at the home she loved where she spent many days and hours with family and friends
