"Sonny" Rattray, of Chilliwack BC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at the Valley Haven Assisted Living Home in Chilliwack. Born in Vancouver BC, to Don and Connie Rattray, Sonny lived most of his life in Surrey, Langley/Aldergrove and Chilliwack.
Sonny was a generous, passionate man that could light up a room full of family and friends (or strangers) with his infectious smile and funny stories. He loved dogs, wildlife and being outdoors. As for sports hockey was his #1 passion, as he spent most of his time as an adult coaching and running his three sons, Tanner, Tyson, and Caelan around to hockey games and practices all across the Province from 1984 to 2015 all while sneaking in the odd game himself.
Sonny was extremely loving and proud of his three sons and four grandchildren, Tayler, Camryn, Chase and Caroline and his niece Mette Nielsen.
He is also survived by his loving sisters Mari Anne Rattray and Genevieve Nielsen of Kimberley, BC; Ex-Wife Sharon Rattray, his loving friend Michelle Edwards, Uncle Bruce; as well as all the many loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and other friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends on Sonny's birthday June 28th, 2018.
